Okay, so it's common knowledge to most people who actually know me at all that I really love to write. I've been really stressed out lately, however, as far as my writing projects are concerned, and therefore haven't really gotten much work done. However, I have finally begun to sort out the work and spread it out so that I may get things done on all of my projects. Currently, I have four writing projects underway:
- Shelby Irwin and the Wizard Rock (29/c.40 Pages - Approx. 73% Finished - ETC: January 2010)
- This is a spoof of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone that I have been slowly but surely working on since the start of last year, and it's going to be completed soon, hopefully, for the sake of my friends if nothing else. (They really enjoy this one.) Oh, and ETC means Estimated Time of Completion.
- Shadowstalker (15/c. 200+ Pages - Approx. 0.75% Finished - ETC: N/A)
- This is my official novel that I've been working on for the past few years. I know it doesn't seem like much progress has been made, but I've lost entire manuscripts 3 times in the past, so this is my 4th time to begin writing on it. The entire plot is laid out at this point; it's just a matter of getting it written and hoping my computer doesn't die again. (Although I'm making web backups now.)
- Lucific Book (12/12 Pages - 100% Complete - Finished 12/10/09)
- This was just a stupid comedy project that I wrote for my friends after we invented it in Music Appreciation class. It was a fairly easy project to finish once I actually began work on it.
- Into the Fade (Brainstormed Only/c. 30 Pages - Unstarted - ETC: N/A)
- This is a plan for a short story I want to write using a character I designed for an assignment in Creative Writing. My personal goal is to be able to finish this within the back half of the semester and turn it into my teacher for his own personal review, and to get another completed short story under my belt.
Of course, it's not as simple as just being able to get all of this done; I have more than just writing projects underway. I also have two photoshop projects underway:
- Sinferno (Approx. 13% Complete - ETC: February/March 2010)
- This is a massive project in which I translate my friends from school into a comic book, and it's taking a good chunk of time to create, as well as testing my photoshop skills (and patience) in several ways. I absolutely HAVE to finish this project by the end of the school year, or there's no real point in ever making it.
- Thematic Wallpaper Set (3/10 Wallpapers Complete - 30% Finished - ETC: N/A)
- Since Windows 7 has an awesome wallpaper changing feature, I felt like throwing together a themed set of wallpapers using photos of my friends to create 'tabletop photo' desktops. This project won't really get in the way of anything else; the only reason it's not complete is because I want to get new pictures and update it as my senior year goes on, rounding out with a total of 10 wallpapers.
Thankfully, a little thing known as Work Ethic randomly kicked in with me recently, and I've begun to plan out my work on all of these projects (excluding the wallpaper set, which is done as new pictures come, not on a schedule) and therefore begun getting things finished.
Hopefully this work mood will stick around so I can proceed to get things finished; some people actually want to see my stuff, and it pains me that I couldn't normally bring myself to continue them recently.
- Mood:
Happy - Listening to: My Music on Shuffle
- Reading: Nothing, once again.
- Watching: Nothing
- Playing: Dragon Age: Origins
- Eating: Nothing at all
- Drinking: Sweet Tea
